  • The term ‘Hydroelectricity’ refers to electricity generated using hydropower, i.e. the production of electrical power using the gravitational force of flowing water or water falling.
  • The method in which the production of electrical power through the use of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water is called hydroelectric energy.
  • Water which is flowing down can be captured and converted into electricity. This conversion process is called hydroelectric power or hydro energy or hydropower.
