What is Hydro Energy / Definition of Hydroelectricity?
The term ‘Hydroelectricity’ refers to electricity generated using hydropower, i.e. the production of electrical power using the gravitational force of flowing water or water falling.
The method in which the production of electrical power through the use of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water is called hydroelectric energy.
Water which is flowing down can be captured and converted into electricity. This conversion process is called hydroelectric power or hydro energy or hydropower.
